Mum and dad made it here safely on friday morning after a very good flight. I met them at the airport and they breezed through, looking happy and well-rested. We spent the rest of the day meandering round Daikanyama and slowly sinking into Tokyo life.
On saturday, we ventured out, even though the winds were pretty strong and rain was threatening. We managed to get the the beautiful Nezu museum and wander around their beautiful gardens before the skies opened and rain set in for the afternoon.
This was perfect weather for comfort food, so we headed to Gyoza Lou for a hearty lunch, before soaking up the wonders of Foodshow. This is an amazinly hectic food hall in the basement of Tokyu department store in Shibuya and is full of all sorts of weird and wonderful items. We were able to watch them make dumplings and octopus balls and, of course, came home with some gorgeous puddings......
